A NEW BEGINNING...

Hi! My name is Valentina,

Over the years, I have taken on many names in my online presence. Since I was 12 I have been moving from blog to blog with a deep desire to express myself the way I know best. Every blog started under a different name and a different ethos but all characterised by my greatest two loves: fashion & writing.

The long road of trying on different paths have landed me in the same place I was 10 years ago; a little girl marvelled by the beauty of the catwalks I saw through my TV screen and the magic oozing out of the pages of my favourite fashion magazines.

Now as a recently graduated journalist I am facing my very own Carrie Bradhshaw moment of despair. Have I chosen the right path? Is fashion this magical world out of reach? We shall find out together.

But going back to this site:

I have been out of the blogging game for a while now. And Lord, I feel like all the accumulated thoughts I used to set free are slowing taking over my brain. I have enough mental capacity to choose an outfit and buy a matcha.

So....amongst the anxiety and the hope of my early roaring 20s I have felt its finally time to come back to the place where it all started now just as Valentina. Keep it simple and honest.

That is why I have created this little space for solace and self-exploration, where I intend to guide myself through the fashion industry as an aspiring young writer and document my journey from overachieving young girl (in the midst of a burn out) to independent working woman.

My hope is to make of this blog a space for not only fashion and culture but also a diary of my personal style, visions and dreams. As well as lessons on womanhood that I gather in the process. Let me be your exemplarily chaotic fashion victim/older sister and join me in this girly palace of mayhem!
